Description
FeurNews is a social network designed for citizen journalism, allowing users to broadcast, discuss, and rate news in real-time. The project simulated a professional environment by splitting the workforce into two teams: my team handled the Frontend (React), while another team built the Backend (Spring/MongoDB).
Key Achievements
- Feature Implementation: Developed a complete ecosystem including User Authentication, CRUD operations for posts, a 5-star rating/comment system, and social features (Direct Messaging, Follow/Block workflows).
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Built the client-side application based on a REST API provided by an external backend team. Required strict adherence to their technical documentation and constant communication to ensure seamless data integration.
- Intensive Agile Scrum: Operated under a rigorous framework supervised by professional coaches, consisting of daily sprints over a 2-week period. Managed the full Scrum lifecycle: Product Backlogs, Burn-up Charts, and 'Keep/Drop/Start' retrospectives.
- Adaptability: Acted on daily feedback from the backend team (who served as Product Owners), rapidly iterating on the UI/UX to meet evolving requirements.
