About the role

Eiffage Énergie Systèmes is a European leader in electrical engineering and construction. I joined the IT department to contribute to 'Espace Pilotage', a critical in-house CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). This web platform is used daily to manage maintenance contracts and monitor technical infrastructures, such as urban video-protection networks.

Key Achievements

• Legacy Code Adaptation: Successfully integrated into a 5-year-old codebase built with Native PHP and JavaScript. Rapidly mastered the architecture to implement new features without relying on modern frameworks.
• Advanced Logging System: Developed a custom logging architecture with a dashboard for administrators, featuring granular control over log levels (Info, Error, Debug) to monitor application health.
• Performance & Debugging: Implemented server-side pagination and syntax highlighting for logs, significantly reducing the time required for the development team to diagnose and fix bugs.
• RMA Workflow Optimization: Engineered a dynamic filtering system for Return Merchandise Agreements (RMA), enabling teams to track defective equipment and repair status instantly.
• Mobile-First Redesign: Revamped key modules to be fully responsive, allowing field technicians to access critical data and update tickets directly from their smartphones.
• UX/UI Improvements: Created seamless navigation bridges between maintenance tickets and equipment files, streamlining the user workflow.
